9th June - OSC sailing update

Published 14:40 on 11 Jun 2020

09June20: Following our committee meeting last night I have lots to catch you up on but this is a quick update on sailing.

Tuesday to Friday, I'm on site all week during office hours so find me if you want to sail. You can also borrow equipment including on behalf of juniors. Gate closes at 7pm, club equipment put away by 6pm.

The Waterside Cafe take away service is now running so you can buy food from the patio door. Members get 20% discount on the prices shown.

Tonight Tuesday, you can sail to 8pm and use club kit but the gate will close at 7pm still. We will then leave as a group. Sam and I will set a triangular course for improvers to sail around and give our comments on trim/balance. If there is no wind, I'll do a talk on the grass around the 5 essentials when comparing a RS700 to a Fusion - social distancing applies.

The other evenings you can stay late if there is a director on site.

Sunday, it's the Howe family again on rescue although looking at the forecast, maybe we sail on Saturday.

Updates as we go through the week.

Full update to follow that will explain about membership, vests and our plans for the season including the return of pirates and racing.

Best wishes

Adrian
