Joining Oxford Sailing Club!
Thank you for your interest in joining Oxford Sailing Club.
The Club is still subject to Covid-19 restrictions with changing rooms and the main Clubhouse room still closed (toilets open). We have a very supportive membership who have been a massive help in finding practical solutions to maintain social distancing and limit contamination risk.
In normal times, as well as our strong dinghy racing fleet and established windsurfer group, OSC offers plenty of confidence-building activities aimed at new sailors, both adults and youth, as well as those returning to sailing after a gap. We even have a model yacht group (DragonForce 65). Club Racing has restarted subject to being able to staff race crews and safety boats.
OSC offers a range of membership subscriptions. There are discounts for young people, students, OAPs and regular safety boat drivers - see below. We have further reduced our (already reduced) membership rates for new joiners for the rest of the membership year which finishes on 31 March 2021. Please contact the membership team with any questions but if you are happy to proceed with your application then read on.
You can pay by online by direct debit (our preferred method) as a one off payment or for full annual subscriptions monthly (select the "instalments" option once you have created the invoice). You can also select BACS for upfront payments.

Please note the Membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
The Membership Team will check your membership application is correct. Once approved you will be able to log in to your account, create an invoice and arrange payment. Ideally we would like to contact you to check that we can meet your expectations at the club.
If the whole process is too arduous, please just drop an email to the membership team and we'll help. That's all there is to it! Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing at the club.
[Those members and affiliates who have already paid an invoice in full or agreed to pay by instalments will receive a credit equal to a 20% discount off the full fee. They have already benefited from a 5% "Early Payment" reduction which we left in place after the 1 April deadline.You are in this category if your invoice number is #213 or below. For most of you this will sit as a credit on your account until you pay next year's subscription (please!).You can choose to add a donation, to zero out the credit when the time comes.If anyone would like their money back earlier, contact firstname.lastname@example.org but please consider that making multiple BACS payments adds to the admin pile.It'll take a while to work through over 200 invoices!]
Other Fees & Deposits
- A berth in the boat-park costs £65 per year.
- A board locker costs cost £ 75 (Youth associates £ 37) per year.
- A valuables locker costs £ 10.50 per year.
- Car Park Swipe Card £ 5 per year.
Deposits (Returnable within 12 months of leaving the Club on production of the item):
- Windsurf Vest £ 25.00
Members should exchange their last season vest for the new season colour when the Club office is open on Sundays, or by arrangement with the Windsurf Secretary.
