About us
We are Oxford Sailing Club, based at Farmoor Reservoirs, just to the West of historic Oxford. We offer water sports and social activities to our members, affiliates and to the wider communities.
We're passionate about sailing, windsurfing and pretty well anything that involves staying afloat on the water and have been since we first took to the water in 1966.
We're a friendly and helpful Club, staffed totally by volunteers that have developed a significant infrastructure centred on our clubhouse and café. This includes a comprehensive fleet of Club boats & boards for qualified member's use free of charge, changing facilities, a boat park and windsurf storage.
Our youth sailing and youth windsurf activities are often family affairs involving multiple generations of members, several of whom have progressed to and have competed to Olympic level. We are an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) recognised training centre offering a range of weekly dinghy and windsurfing sessions available exclusively throughout the season to our adult & youth members holding basic qualifications. Powerboat courses are also available for members that wish to assist the club racing and evening sessions.
