2.4 Single Hander Keelboat Taster Session

2.4 One Person Keelboat Taster Sessions (members only)
An introduction to racing the smallest meter boat built to the Americas cup rule.
George Barker, who must have the largest private collection of 2.4s is holding a taster day for members.
"I sailed one for the first time in 2000 and it changed my sailing life. It could do the same for you. Offering the opportunity to take part in many international regattas all over the world from Miami to Sydney and also Europe. Who knows where the 2.4 could take you."
The sessions will commence at 13:45 and continue until 16: and will be approximately 45 minutes in length, proceeded by an 'on land' helm and safety briefing and then with groups of up to 3 on the water using a power boat for on water safety and guidance on a simple windward leeward practice course.
The taster does not include launching or recovery.
Taster requirements:
Capability: Level 2 minimum
Fitness level: Suitable for all fitness levels
Age: Minimum age is 12ys, Note: 12ys - 18ys sailors, will require parental consent for this event and approval by the '2.4 safety team'
Weight: No min / max limits
Helmets: Not required
Wetsuits: Condition dependant
