Club Boats, Windsurf & Wing Kit

Don't own your own boat or windsurf kit - that's not a problem, club members with the appropriate skills and subject to certain club rules have access to our fleet of dinghies and windsurf equipment.

   

The 20mph average wind speed limit and the 2 boat rule apply to users of club equipment

Dinghies

The club fleet is described below, rigging guides are at the bottom of the page. Members with login details may use the following link to see  further information regarding club dinghy equipment use.

Dinghies are available on a first come first served basis, so no advance booking or reservation. Members do complete an online OSC Dinghy User Form each time they prepare to use a dinghy.

   

RS Tera

A modern, single handed dinghy to introduce your kids to sailing.

Topper

An iconic pedigree single hander for junior, youth and lighter adults.

RS Zest

A stable single hander for child or small adult with space for another child up front.

Fusion

Stable and responsive general purpose single hander.

! Two Gennakers are available for use in OSC sailing events, on hulls numbered 5 & 6, please ask in the office for access.

Laser One / ILCA

Previously known as a Laser but now referred to as an ILCA (International Laser Class Association), these are designed for one adult or youth sailor. ILCA are more responsive and more delicate than the other dinghies in our fleet. Instruction is available and members must complete a self-assessment form before first using these boats which are available with ILCA 4, 6 and 7 (Laser 4.7, Radial and Standard) rigs.

RS Feva

A popular asymmetric dinghy for two youth sailors, an adult and child or a single hander for adults.

! Three Gennakers are available for use in OSC sailing events, please ask in the office for access.

Topper Argo

The latest upgrade to our fleet, a larger dinghy for two adults or small family.

Buzz

A double handed asymmetric racing boat, with a single trapeze; exhilarating when the wind blows so suitable for sailors with intermediate or advanced skill levels.

Windsurf kit

Choose from a selection of youth or adult boards to suit beginner and intermediate windsurfers. Harnesses (under instruction only), and a variety of rigs are available for different wind conditions.

Wingfoil kit

We have a good selection of wings, boards and foils, the use of these by members is strictly regulated due to the ease of damage to wings and foils
