International Moth Taster Session Provisional

Foiling International Moth Taster Sessions (members only)

We have a Foiling Moth on loan from the manufacturer to use in order to grow the class and give experienced sailors an opportunity to experience a new class.

The session will approximately 15 minutes in length, proceeded by an 'on land' helm and safety briefing and then with a group of 4 on the water using a power boat for on water helm changeovers.

Schedule:
10:30 Briefing on the beach in wetsuits and helmets
11:00 On the water - in a power boat for on-water change overs
12:00 De brief - on the beach or in the Clubhouse.
13:00 Pack up and end of session.

Taster requirements:
Capability: Any good Club racer should be OK - you don't need to be at the top of the fleet.
Fitness level: A reasonable level of fitness is required, as long as you have no major disabilities.
Age: Minimum age is 14ys, Note: 14ys - 18ys sailors, will require parental consent for this event and approval by the 'Moth Team'

Weight: 55 - 110Kg

Helmets: Mandatory - we can provide
Wetsuits: Mandatory full length wetsuits

Expectations: Get very wet. First flight hopefully. Big smile. Want more.

Note: Use of boats with a PY of less than 750, or multihull boats, is by Club permission only.
