2.4 Single Hander Keelboat Taster Session Provisional

2.4 One Person Keelboat Taster Sessions (members only)
An introduction to racing the smallest meter boat built to the Americas cup rule.
George Barker, who must have the largest private collection of 2.4s is holding a taster day for members.
"I sailed one for the first time in 2000 and it changed my sailing life. It could do the same for you. Offering the opportunity to take part in many international regattas all over the world from Miami to Sydney and also Europe. Who knows where the 2.4 could take you."
Schedule: 4 sailors per taster/boat, individual sessions will last appx 15 minutes:
10:30 Briefing on the pontoon/beach in wetsuits/shorties and buoyancy aids, ready to sail.
11:00 On the water - in a power boat for on-water change overs
12:00 De brief - on the beach or in the Clubhouse.
13:00 Pack up and end of session.
The taster does not include launching or recovery.
Taster requirements:
Capability: Level 2 minimum
Fitness level: Suitable for all fitness levels
Age: Minimum age is 12ys, Note: 12ys - 18ys sailors, will require parental consent for this event and approval by the '2.4 safety team'
Weight: No min / max limits
Helmets: Not required
Wetsuits: Condition dependant
