Pilates for Sailors and Board Sailors Cancelled
Pilates for Sailors, Windsurfers and Wingfoilers - a private members only session run by Alex Merson for all abilities.
Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control for the body. The emphasis is on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance.
Alex comes from a family of keen sailors and has grown up around boats all her life and has trained with Body Control Pilates, they are one of the best training providers in the UK and Europe. In the past she danced for over 10 years and was drawn to Pilates with its similarities in movement.
Alex will offer us a short introduction to the benefits of Pilates related to our sport and then provide a 1 hour or so private session to our members.
It is a Wednesday evening (Wed PM race series) so why not stay on for a light bite and refreshments in the galley and relax after the session.
