Set Sail with Your Imagination - The 2025 Farmoor Literary Challenge
Ahoy, storytellers! Whether you're a seasoned sailor, a wind or winging whiz, or a young adventurer with a vivid imagination (and maybe a little help from your crew at home), this challenge is for you!
The Mission: Craft a short story based on a nautical theme that will be revealed on November 1st. Your tale should transport readers to the farthest reaches of the sea—and your imagination.
Who Can Enter?
- Adult sailors and wind/wingers
- Young sailors and wind/wingers (with optional parental help!)
The Reward: A small prize awaits the winner… but the real treasure? International literary fame when your story is published in Yachts and Yachting magazine!
Mark the Date:
The theme will be announced on November 1st. so start warming up those creative sails!
The competition will run until the end of November - please download and read the story brief, the WIs (Writing Instructions) and also download any assets such as images.
Entry tickets online and all proceeds will go to the RNLI
