Just an hours drive from the Hook of Holland and your in Brouwersdam, a great flat water venue in the Netherlands
Sean is going for the long weekend from the 7th to the 10th October.
- Great flat-water venue
- For those that want waves the beach is there as well!
- Venue is absolutely free for those with kit, not even parking charges
- You can find lots of local B&Bs
- Parking your van on the seafront car parks overnight is free
- Sean has local knowledge of where to eat etc.
How much....
- Kit rental is 75 euros/ day, but with enough interest we would expect to significantly reduce this
- Ferry crossing for van with two people starts @ £230 to £300
- Three nights B&B locally, 2 sharing £300
- The general idea is to to take a look at the long term forecast a week before we go and agree as a group based on this as to whether we go, I think generally you can get a feel for what the conditions will be on that time frame.
- I will be travelling over on Thursday evening and coming back Monday afternoon, camping at the site attached on the website, details can be downloaded from this page
- My preferred route will be Harwich to Hook of Holland, it takes about 2 1/2 hrs to get to Harwich and the journey the other side is about 1hr, Stennaline service works very well for an overnight ferry there and afternoon sailing return.Hope to see you there.
