Breaking News; 18ft Skiff Inland World Championships

Hot off the press, from our esteemed past Commodore Adrian Howe, the purveyor of boat park dinghies, and owner of one of four still racing 18ft skiffs in the UK.

Adrian, allegedly, has dug deep into his wetsuit trouser pocket to convince our Southern Hemisphere friends that Oxfordshire, ne~Oxford Sailing Club at Farmoor Reservoir could be the next venue for the 18ft Skiff World Championships. 

Word from our sponsor Adrian, "We are expecting 20 boats to compete in this world class event, sailing thirty races to decide the eventual World Champion".

What does it take to be an 18ft Ausie Skiff World Champion?

Huge organisational ability, (tick), A sponsor with deep pockets (tick), An event that can be easily televised and watched from all angles by spectators (tick), A five mile first beat?
