Speed Week

The OSC Speed Challenge returns this year, running for two weeks from Saturday 18th October to Sunday 2nd November (excluding the Aero open weekend of 25th & 26th October). Whether you sail dinghies, windsurf, or wingfoil, there's a category for you!

To join in, simply use any GPS-enabled device—such as a smartwatch, GPS tracker, or smartphone—to record your top speed. This year, John Kearns is taking over as Speed Challenge Coordinator from Chris Cleland. Just share your results in our dedicated WhatsApp group, OSC Speed Week, whenever you set a new record.

I'll keep everyone updated on the leaderboard throughout the challenge, and trophies for each category will be awarded at our annual Christmas dinner.

Remember, its not just about winning—its about taking part and aiming for your personal best, whatever your experience level. I hope many of you will get involved and make this a fun, memorable event. See you on the water—lets make Speed Challenge 2025 one to remember!
