NOVICE AND CASUAL SAILING THIS SATURDAY 5th SEPTEMBER

This Saturday, the 5th of September, is the penultimate Novice and Casual event for 2026.

This is free and fun event is open to everyone at the club, regardless of age or ability, with lots of prizes on offer to be presented at the end of the day.  

If you are taking part in any of the club training events, then this is a fantastic way to put into practice what you have learned through out the year in one of the most friendly and accepting sailing events hosted at Oxford SC. 

If you are hoping to come along to Novice and Casual this Saturday, the first race is at 11:00am after a briefing at 10:30am. However, I would advice arriving at about 09:30 to get a club boat. Please remember to book the boat out on the Ipad in the hallway. We will have two twenty minute races in the morning before stopping for a lunch break. There will be a further briefing at 13:30, before getting back on the water for a further two races, followed by the prize giving.

Don't worry if you can't sail the whole day, you can pop in morning or afternoon and enjoy the racing.

Next event which will be the last of this year will be on Saturday 3rd October
