Saturday the 27th of September:

At Oxfords dock, the sails were raised, The wind was mild, the crowd amazed. A novice crew with hearts so bold, Set out to chase the tales once told.

With lifejackets snug and snacks in tow, They zigged and zagged, not quite in flow. Starboard! one cried, No—port, I think! They spun around in one wild blink.

The race began with cheers and laughs, Some boats went straight, some split in halves. One sailor waved while drifting wide, Another took a scenic glide.

So here's to sails that flap and flop, To learning curves that never stop. At Oxford's club, all skills embrace— Especially in the novice race!

The last event of the season and your last chance to join in one of our most popular racing events of the season, before Tony hangs up his boots and dons his Santa outfit for Christmas.
