Pirates and Pay & Play Are Back Soon!

We are pleased to announced that Pirates and Pay and Play will be restarting on Tuesday 13th April 2021.
COVID-19 restrictions will apply to these sessions, meaning that for the first few months of the season these sessions will look a little different to normal. Sailing will be limited to single-handed boats unless sailors are in the same household, and anyone using club kit will need to wash it down following club guidance. The club toilets will be open, but sailors and windsurfers will be asked to arrive and leave in their sailing kit, as the changing rooms will remain closed. For Pirates, parents will be required to remain on site for the duration of the evening, and to help ensure social distancing is maintained at the beginning and end of the session. Please make sure that they have their own buoyancy aids - let us know if you want advice.
Booking is now open for Club member Pirates and Play and Payers. Sailors must book online through the Oxford Sailing Club website (https://www.oxfordsailing.club/events) for each session they wish to attend. For Pirates, parents must only book sailors into the session if they are happy to stay on site throughout the session. For the time being, they also must only book sailors onto sessions if their child has a Stage Four certificate, or can beat confidently upwind and launch and recover their own dinghy. This it to ensure the safety of both our sailors and coaches. As the government guidance changes, we will consider opening the sessions up to more sailors.
For both Pirates and Pay and Play, registration will start at 5:30, and we will aim to be off the water by 8pm. Sessions cost £10, but this includes use of a club boat. Come along to develop your skills, start racing, and most importantly have fun. Booking is first come, first served, and places are limited, so get booking!
